Pasquale DeFazio is an Emmy Award-winning producer, director, and editor whose career spans nearly three decades of storytelling across television, film, streaming, and digital media. From major network hits to independent films, original streaming series, and emerging digital platforms, Pasquale has built a career on one simple belief: great stories connect with audiences, no matter where they're told.
His work has appeared on virtually every major television platform, including ABC, NBC, FOX, Discovery, TLC, MTV, Food Network, and Netflix, as well as international outlets and prestigious film festivals. With hundreds of episodes to his credit, Pasquale has helped create, develop, and produce programming across an extraordinary range of genres, including food, travel, lifestyle, documentary, reality, competition, and home renovation.
A Philadelphia native, Pasquale studied film at Temple University's acclaimed film program, where his award-winning thesis film, Nighttown, launched his career. He soon moved to New York City, cutting his teeth in independent features and major studio productions, including The Sixth Sense, before discovering his passion for documentary and unscripted storytelling.
His early television work included TLC's groundbreaking documentary series Trauma: Life in the ER, where he honed his skills as a writer, director, and editor. He went on to serve as writer and editor of the feature documentary The Long Journey Home, further establishing the storytelling instincts that would become a hallmark of his career.
Over the years, Pasquale has become a driving creative force in unscripted entertainment, developing and producing hundreds of hours of original programming. His credits include the Emmy Award-winning Food Network series Delicious Miss Brown, on which he serves as executive producer and director, and Outchef'd, which he co-created and executive produced. His work combines cinematic sensibility, sharp editorial instincts, compelling characters, and an ability to turn an original idea into a distinctive, enduring television format.
As the media landscape has evolved, so has Pasquale's approach to storytelling. His creative work now extends well beyond traditional television into streaming, YouTube, podcasts, vodcasts, branded entertainment, and social-first content.
Today, as co-owner and executive producer at FRANK, Pasquale’s passion remains what first drew him into the business: discovering fascinating people, finding the stories worth telling, and creating content that entertains, surprises, and resonates.
